How do I chose the correct ladder?For domestic use a 100KG rated ladder should suffice for your job, for Trade and Industrial use you will need to select a 120KG or 150kg rated ladder. The height is or configuration is then based on your job you will be using the ladder for in most instances.

Should I use a Fibreglass or Aluminium ladder?In electrical work environments, Fibreglass ladders are recommended and most often a requirement. For all other applications not involving electrical work, you can use an Aluminium ladder.

What is the difference between a 'Domestic' and 'Industrial' grade ladder?As stated in the Australian/NewZealand Standards (AS/NZS 1892.1-5), an ‘Industrial’ ladder must have a minimum load rating of 120kg and be labeled that it is suitable for Industrial use. A ‘Domestic’ ladder must have a minimum load rating of 100kg and be labeled that it is suitable for Domestic use.

What to check before using my ladder?Check the feet are in good condition, the steps, all rivets, nuts or bolts and if applicable the ropes are intact and in good condition, Always ensure the ladder is used on flat level ground.

Can I use a 'Domestic' rated ladder at my workplace?A ‘Domestic’ ladder is NOT suitable for use in a workplace or in a commercial environment. Only ‘Industrial’ ladders with a load rating of 120kg or higher can be used in a work environment. This includes building sites, factories, shops and offices. Note: Shops and offices are commercial workplaces and require 'Industrial’ rated ladders.
